Lutz-JESCO MAGDOS LD solenoid-driven diaphragm dosing pumps deliver precise liquid chemical dosing in water treatment and SWRO pre-treatment applications. Available in seven capacity ranges from 0.35 to 13 l/h at up to 16 bar delivery pressure, the MAGDOS LD is the standard compact dosing pump for sodium hypochlorite chlorination, antiscalant injection, acid pH correction, sodium bisulphite dechlorination and coagulant dosing in water treatment trains. Double ball valves ensure accurate dosing. The pump can be mounted upright or horizontally without additional fittings.
In Morocco, MAGDOS LD pumps are installed throughout ONEE-operated water treatment infrastructure and are specified on new SWRO projects by ACCIONA and Veolia EPC contractors. In Algeria, ADE water treatment plants run large MAGDOS dosing skid populations. For higher dosing flows (above 13 l/h), the Lutz-JESCO MAGDOS LT motor-driven series or MEMDOS DX series (4 to 380 l/h) would be specified. When enquiring for parts, provide the full model designation from the pump rating plate including the head material code — e.g. MAGDOS LD 5 PVC/FPM.
The MAGDOS LD pump head is secured by four bolts. Removing the head exposes the diaphragm and both valve assemblies for inspection and replacement without specialist tools. A complete overhaul kit — new diaphragm, suction valve, pressure valve and O-rings — restores a failed MAGDOS LD to service in under 30 minutes. We supply overhaul kits matched to the specific LD capacity range and head material combination.
PVC pump heads suit sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) up to 15% active chlorine, ferric chloride, coagulants and most standard water treatment chemicals at temperatures up to 40°C. PVDF heads are required for concentrated sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid above 30%, or high-concentration NaOCl above 15%. PTFE diaphragms are standard specification for all acid and oxidant service. Norprene diaphragms are appropriate for alkaline and caustic applications. Always confirm the chemical, concentration and operating temperature when requesting parts.
